Coupons
The secret to saving with coupons is having multiple coupons and buying multiples of the items with the coupon to make if CHEAP or free and have it on hand for the future and shop from your pantry not the store. Saving on gas and groceries. This is called stockpiling.

How do you get coupons?

Sunday papers
Some local midweek papers (and the papers are cheaper than Sundays)
Friends and coworkers that don't coupon- "Don't try to recruite couponers- try to get their coupons, LOL"
Magazines
Printables
Order them online
~
Ebay, Clipping services
Trading - you can find traders on couponing sites.
Printables (click around this site and you will find some)
Home Mailings
Peelies- peel them off of purchased products
Blinkies-the machine that spit out coupons in the stores
Wine tags- I've never seen one of these but they exist or so they say, LOL
Store ads
Recycle Bins
Coupon Trains

Using coupons doesn't take that much time.
In the past year or more I have not paid one cent for toothpaste. I have not purchased dishwasher detergent in over a year or aluminum foil, peanut butter, pancake mix, augratin potatoes, frozen hashbrowns, mustard, hot sauce and I have enough to last me at least another 6 months or more of each and paid zero or a few cents for these items.

What's the secret?
*Holding on to coupons until the item goes on sale.
*Multiple coupons used for items that are one sale.
You save a little buying one item at a time with a coupon. But...think, if you have 10 coupons for 50 cents off Peter Pan Peanut Butter, it goes on sale for $1 at your local store that doubles coupons....you get 10 jars for free !! If it doesn't go on sale and you need it, use 1 coupon get what you need. If the coupon expires before it goes on sale, what have you lost?- Nothing. Throw them away.- or better yet, forward them on to someone in the military, they can use expired coupons past the date of expiration.
